Buff MUN
Overview:
Our first MUNdown of the year is going to step into the shoes of key decision makers and first responders during the tragic events of September 11th 2001.
This conference will be hosted by CU Boulder and will feature delegates from CU Boulder, The University of Denver, The Air Force Academy, and CU Colorado Springs.
Delegates will be broken into three crisis committees: A New York City room, a White House room, and a POTUS room (President Bush was in Florida during these events), as well as a UN Security Council. The three crisis committees will be tackling the events of 9/11 live, while the UNSC will be addressing the issue over the course of the following days.

Welcome to BUFF-MUN! We are excited to invite schools from across the great state of Colorado to a very special crisis-council and Security conference. We hope to engage in diplomacy in and out of committee, as it is critical for us Colorado-based institutions to stick together in hopes of creating a unified Model United Nations community. We are tremendously excited for this ambitious Crisis Committee and are excited to welcome you all to our beautiful campus. The events inspiring these historical simulations are not so distant in history, and many aspects of our lives in 2024 have been shaped by the horrendous events of this terrible day. We hope these simulations engage their participants with a new perspective on the attacks as well as a nuanced understanding of international multilateralism and domestic leadership during turbulent times.
